Biography
Agravain is the kind of young man peace was never built to contain.
At eighteen, he has already earned a name that travels faster than most armies: Agravain the Terror. He is a prince of Lothian, Orkney, and Tintagel, a warrior of the Green Hawks, and one of the most dangerous swordsmen in Cornwall. With twin Roman broadswords across his back and a grin that often arrives before the violence, Agravain does not simply enter battle.
He erupts into it.
But beneath the terrifying reputation is something far more human: loyalty.
Agravain loves his brothers with a ferocity that leaves no room for half-measures. He admires Gawain, challenges him, protects him, and refuses to let him suffer alone. He may be younger, but he does not see himself as lesser. If Gawain is the burdened commander, Agravain is the storm at his side — the one who reminds the world that Tintagel’s sons are not to be tested lightly.
His courage is infectious. Men follow him because he makes fear feel shameful. When Agravain charges forward, others remember they have legs, swords, and something worth defending.
Yet that same courage can become his greatest danger.
Agravain does not have Gawain’s restraint or Gaheris’s patience. When someone he loves is threatened, insulted, or harmed, politics become noise. Treaties become chains. Consequences become tomorrow’s problem. In those moments, Agravain becomes exactly what his enemies fear: a young prince who believes love is reason enough for war.
In The Knights with No Lords, Agravain is not merely the reckless brother or the violent one. He is loyalty without hesitation. Courage without diplomacy. A sword drawn before the room has finished talking.
And sometimes, that is exactly what the world needs.
Sometimes, it is exactly what destroys it.
